A star at the top of his game, Rajesh Khanna, paired with a man who would become the greatest stars in Indian cinema, Amitabh Bachchan, combined to make this one a wonderful experience.
What is life all about? Is it a life lived long or a life lived well? A man with a terminal disease spreads joy around him, changing lives wherever he goes. His joy in life itself draws everyone to him. Strangers become his best friends, and those close to him learn much about themselves. The music in the film is haunting, and ever-fresh.
Directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee, one of India's iconic directors, this one is for the ages.
